2019 Washington Teacher of the Year Speaking Request

Washington's 2019 Teacher of the Year Robert Hand is eager to meet with education stakeholders and participate in education related events.

Robert will respond to all invitations as quickly as possible. He will accommodate as many requests as his schedule allows. Occasionally, he may refer your request to a Regional Teacher of the Year with expertise in your particular area of interest.

Expenses
Robert's mileage and substitute costs are covered from January - June 2019 by the Teacher of the Year program through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Organizations requesting that Robert travel to their event are asked to provide overnight lodging and meals when necessary (based on the timing and location of the event).

If this request is for an event in September - December 2018 I agree to pay for Robert's travel and reimburse Mount Vernon School District for a substitute teacher when necessary. *This question is required.

Please note that Robert is still teaching full time through December. Declining to reimburse his travel and substitute costs reduces the likelihood he will be able to attend your event.
